Winter outings around Alpine Hotel Landgraaf

During the Christmas season, the streets and squares of Aachen transform into a true Christmas paradise. The various lights and music create a real Christmas atmosphere.

With around 150 stands, this Christmas market attracts around 1.5 million visitors each year. Not surprising with the large selection of refreshments and items for in and under the Christmas tree. 

The Christmas market in Aachen can be visited from November 24 to December 23, 2023 and is a half hour drive from Alpine Hotel Landgraaf.

Maastricht's Christmas market is a real draw. Every year nearly a million visitors come to the city to visit the Christmas festivities.

At various locations in Maastricht you can enjoy delicacies and get gifts for under the Christmas tree. This is also the right place for warm winter clothes. But besides the various stands, the Christmas market offers even more. There is a large skating rink, Ferris wheel and for the children a giant slide. In short, everything to get into the Christmas spirit. 

The Christmas market in Maastricht can be visited from December 1 to December 31 and is a half hour drive from Alpine Hotel Landgraaf. 

Winterland Hasselt is a real experience for anyone who loves the winter atmosphere at all. With several attractions, Winterland is a real crowd puller.

For example, there is a Ferris wheel with a view of Hasselt, a covered skating rink and Grand café. In addition, Winterland has an Authentic Almhütte where one can enjoy authentic Austrian snacks and music. But also a mega slide and haunted house in winter atmosphere. Winterland also includes a Christmas market with about 50 stands for original gifts and a Christmas village with a wide range of winter food and drinks. 

Winterland Hasselt can be visited from November 17, 2023 to January 7, 2024 and is a 50-minute drive from Alpine Hotel Landgraaf

During the winter months you can enjoy the Christmas atmosphere in Valkenburg for no less than 51 days. During the Christmas parade you will enjoy magical lights, you will whizz down the toboggan run and can visit Santa's village.

In addition, you can visit various performances of the Christmas story and eat delicious delicacies. This is also the right place for a Christmas market. In the atmospheric caves of Valkenburg you can stroll along the many Christmas stands.

The Christmas City in Valkenburg takes place from November 17, 2023 to January 7, 2024 and is only a 25-minute drive from Alpine Hotel Landgraaf.

Gaia Zoo one of the most beautiful zoos in the Netherlands if you ask us. Young and old get a breathtaking look into the world of animals and nature here. The park is unique and has won several awards. What is also nice: you only have to be in the car for 10 minutes. Highly recommended to go.

Family park Mondo Verde offers a surprising and versatile day out. The park in fact has several attractions such as a white water ride, bumper cars and a small roller coaster. In addition, the park offers a world garden and animal park. Enough for young and old to feast your eyes.

In Vaals lies the Drielandenpunt. This is not only the highest point in the Netherlands. This is also where the land borders of the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium meet. The Drielandenpunt is surrounded by beautiful nature, making it very attractive for tourists to come here for a walk as well. Young and old can enjoy themselves here.
