Green Key Certificate

At SnowWorld, we are aware of the impact our business activities have on the environment and society, and we want to act in such a way that the natural environment is preserved and remains available for future generations. We do this by continuously integrating sustainability into our business processes, services, and products. To achieve this, we make conscious choices and seek a balance between people, the planet, and results. This is a process, not a destination. We are constantly looking for feasible steps to shape this social responsibility within our company.

In recent years, SnowWorld has invested in making its various locations more sustainable and has decided to apply for Green Key certification for all its branches. All six locations are now Green Key Gold certified: SnowWorld Landgraaf, SnowWorld Zoetermeer, SnowWorld Amsterdam, SnowWorld Rucphen-Breda, SnowWorld Terneuzen, and Indoor Skydive Roosendaal.

What is Green Key?

Green Key is the international quality mark for sustainable businesses in the recreation and leisure industry and the business market. Businesses with a Green Key quality mark do everything they can to protect the environment without compromising on comfort and quality for their guests. To achieve this, we make conscious choices and seek a balance between people, planet, and profit. This is a process, not a destination. We are constantly looking for feasible steps to shape this social responsibility within our company. To achieve this, we implement the following measures:

■ We actively keep ourselves informed of CSR developments and actively contribute to transferring our knowledge in this area to employees and guests.

■ We inform our guests, employees, and suppliers about how we conduct business in a socially responsible manner.

■ We make transparent agreements with relevant parties about the quality of our services and how we monitor that quality.

■ In addition to the financial impact, we also determine the social and environmental impact of our product and limit any negative impact as much as possible.

■ We voluntarily contribute to social causes through donations and sponsorship and/or through volunteer work.

■ Where possible, we try to inform our guests and customers about reducing their environmental impact and facilitate this.

■ We are continuously working to reduce our environmental impact and increase the sustainability of our company. We do this by actively striving to reduce waste streams and our consumption of gas, water, electricity, and fossil fuels.

■ We are continuously working to improve our own purchasing process and focus in particular on goods and services that are sustainable, preferably with a recognized environmental and/or sustainability and/or social label.
