Protection of minors at SnowWorld Neuss
SnowWorld Neuss has consistently enforced youth protection measures since it opened. We always act with sensitivity and the utmost responsibility when it comes to admitting guests to our parties and serving alcoholic drinks. The relevant authorities have confirmed that, following all inspections, there have been no complaints whatsoever regarding youth protection at our venue.
The following measures have always been an integral part of our parties:
Measures to ensure compliance with the Youth Protection Act
- Security service:
At every party, depending on the season, between seven and twelve security staff monitor the crowd. The security staff are trained in accordance with Section 34a (GewO) and have many years’ experience in admission control and dealing with guests at our venue. For years, all incidents occurring on a given day have been documented in writing by the security staff, and necessary measures are implemented immediately. - Entry checks:
Two to three security staff members monitor entry at the main entrance. If a guest’s age cannot be determined with certainty, they will be asked to show ID. By far the majority of guests turned away at the main entrance are under the minimum age. Young people under the age of 18 are not permitted to attend the party. - Patrols:
Due to the ski operations, younger guests who have been using the slopes since the afternoon may still be present in the venue even after the admission checks have begun. Security staff therefore carry out regular patrols to check the ID of young guests from the start of the party and are present throughout the SnowWorld public area. These patrols are stepped up again from 10 pm, and those under 16 are escorted out of the venue by security staff. At midnight, further patrols are carried out throughout the venue and those under 18 are escorted out. Going beyond the legal requirements, young people under 18 may remain in our venue until midnight at the latest, even if accompanied by a parent or guardian; after that, they must leave the party, even if the parent or guardian wishes to take responsibility. - Bar staff and service staff:
Bar staff and service staff have been instructed in accordance with the legal requirements regarding the serving of alcohol to young people and will check ID in cases of doubt. - DJ announcements:
We make DJ announcements before midnight, clearly reiterating the curfew for young people under the age of 18. - Birthday parties for under-18s:
Birthday parties for under-18s during the events are generally not permitted.
