At SnowWorld, kids aged 4 and 5 years can take a ski course perfectly designed for them. In 4 weeks, they get 55 minutes of lessons per week to learn the basics of skiing.
The first lesson is all about getting used to walking with the ski’s and slide down the first few meters in the snow. When this goes well, its even possible to start learning to break with the “ski plough” method halfway during the first lesson. The second lesson will be more about breaking using the method.
From lesson 3 onwards the kids will try to make their first curves in the snow. During this lesson a lot of attention is paid to this to make sure all goes well for the last lesson.
When the children enjoyed this first level they can directly enrol into intermediate, where more attention is paid on improving the technique.
The lesson can start with a minimum of 4 applications.
This course is perfect for children between 4 and 5 who already joined in a beginner skiing course at SnowWorld or had some practise during their winter sport.
During this course improving taking curves is the central theme. During the first lesson a lot of attention is therefore paid to this topic. A small recap on the practise slope is also part of the first lesson. Thereafter we will quickly swich to our big sloes to make sure we can ski there comfortably. The first few curves will be done in the “ski plough” skiing method. The aim for this is to ski a lot and to make some meters on the snow so that children are more used to the longer descents. During this decent the instructor will do fun exercises with the children.
During the lessons the children will generally use the tow lift. During day 3 and 4 we will practice this more. More attention will be paid towards shorter curves. After this course the children will receive a fun diploma and medal as a reminder. When they still haven’t had enough of skiing they can directly continue to the advanced group.
Have you mastered intermediate level at SnowWorld or had a fun 2 weeks at winter sport in the real snow? Then this will be the perfect level for you!
Depending on the level of the group the instructor will certainly look into where he can begin best. In the beginning of the first lesson a recap of all previous knowledge is tested to see if everyone has the curve taking under their belt.
After the warming-up its time to go to work and improve the technic and slowly increase the speed. During these lessons this will become the main focus point with keeping it fun. The “ski plough” will make way for more parallel skiing. At this age we also call this “French fries”. To improve the thrill small jumps will be made. At the end of the fourth lesson they will again get a diploma with, this time, a red medal.
It is possible to directly go to very advanced level of the 4-week course.
Have you mastered level 3 at SnowWorld or had a fun 3 weeks at winter sport in the real snow? Then this is the level for you!
Depending on the level of the group the instructor will certainly look into where he best can begin. In the beginning of the first lesson a recap of all previous knowledge is tested to see if everyone has the curve taking under their belt. After this only parallel skiing will be taught. In combination with fun exercises these little skiers will develop into race monsters. Improving their technic and increasing the speed will be central in these lessons. After receiving their certificate and the black medal SnowWorld offers a few more possibilities to make sure children can keep their level of skiing. One of these possibilities is to join Club SnowWorld. In this club, weekly trainings will be given on Saturday or Sunday morning with exception of school holidays. This is the perfect way to let your child ski in a club at a relaxed pace.
